What are the foods that are good for our dermis? Let's discover them together! The skin, as we well know, is the largest organ of our body; in addition to acting as a protective barrier, it helps us in water management, temperature control and interactions with the outside world through touch. His well-being is therefore essential to maintain an excellent state of overall health but what does this depend on? From many factors such as UV rays, smog and stress and in recent decades, thanks to new studies, a close correlation has been discovered with the food we eat every day.

The abuse of sugars, fatty or industrial foods, carbonated drinks, smoking, etc. can negatively affect cell regeneration and the lipid film, contributing to the onset of spots, pimples, small wrinkles and leading to malnutrition of the epidermal cells. The skin will thus be lacking in tone, opaque and dull.

The best way to take care of it is to lead a healthy life with a balanced and complete diet. So what are these foods friends of our skin? Blueberries, raspberries, currants and blackberries, rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, promote microcirculation and protect blood vessels. Carrots, apricots, pumpkin [or orange fruit and vegetables in general] contain a lot of beta-carotene, which can protect against the sun's rays and counteract the onset of free radicals.

Walnuts and almonds, rich in vitamin E, help the skin to preserve its elasticity and counteract loss of tone. The egg, rich in iron, phosphorus, calcium, D and B vitamins and proteins, is able to maintain hydration and skin tone. Avocado, thanks to its contribution of vitamin E, contributes to obtaining healthy and hydrated skin.

Other foods that are good for our dermis are tomatoes which are very rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant against UV rays, excellent allies against wrinkles and skin spots. As we can observe, there are many foods that are friends of our skin and it would be desirable to slowly insert them into the daily diet, in order to exploit their wide-ranging benefits and thus have elastic, compact, healthy and luminous skin.
